Meeting 1152, hosted by Peter G. attracted 28 members and the welcome return of international traveller Morris P.  The meeting got off to a later  than usual start even though Pres. JB claimed that he left home at 11am.

The early arrivals seemed to commandeer the very comfortable lounge seats at the rear and Ralph K, Ron H., Brian W were noted  observing proceedings  between naps but respectfully  not rolling jaffas.

Apologies came thick and fast and I picked up Mike L.,Ted S., Lou S., Wally B., Mary Ann and Ken R..,Graham R., Mike B. Sorry if I missed you.

Previous Minutes  mentioned Gary G's 300th Meeting, TC Birthdays and it was noted that there were three in a numerical row , and Bill J. (described as a meticulous old chap) had two in the same month. Brian W. was asked to consider an update of the membership list.

400 Meetings . PP Col B. Joined in 1986  at age 20 along with Peter H. Previously he owned an MGA at 17 , then joined MGCC owning a Red TF with wires. He and Peter followed Harry to Adelaide National Meet. Peter stacked the car at the track but a few repairs saw them return to Perth in 22 hours. Within 2 weeks he was the proud & enthusiastic owner of a TC. Halliday followed the trend 6 months later.  Mike S. said his secret to longevity was watching Col grow old.

600 Meetings. Brian W joined in 1978 – bought his TC from Peter Partridge. Within a week he was Secretary and managed to survive it. Got the car going for the '95 National Meet at Fremantle and has campaigned at many Club events since. Enjoyed the stint with car and wife in Alice Springs – great for outings – now wondering what life is all about at 60.

Garage Tour has been postponed until the Dyno tester has been repaired. JB was happy as he wasn't ready yet.

Wings 'n Wheels  Clark handed round a leaflet. Meet at RAAF Museum 8am – arrive and park, Jandakot  8.30am and after the event visit a Hangar at 11.30am.  Clark  -  0408 908 764.

Old Fart's Lunch at Left Bank saw about 20 attend (Bill J. arrived on his bike) and then adjourn to Mackie's for a garage tour and coffee on the deck. A superb day. Ken and Mary Ann arranging next one.

Caversham had 3500 official attendance. 'Mini' boys put on a great display Brought back memories for Neville – Wally and Helen in the back seat  Four of the original AGP cars present. Lots of 'I Was There' people . Strirling Moss's car there. Col B. agreed it was an enormous effort and accolades deserved with just seven weeks from idea to fruition. Graham Cox book a great read. Clark R. spoke on the Cooper S's' and the excitement  of it all. Denise now wants a Cooper S???   Lou S. put in a great effort as did Mary Ann and Ken and Ed F.. Our Club is pleased  it was such a success. Shown on Access 31 TV.

Shannons 2007 Annual Charity Cruise is on Sunday 14 October. Starts Carousel 8am for 9am.

Emily Bennett Funeral .  Pres JB Spoke of the celebration of Emily's life. Colin D also spoke.

Christmas Party 8th December will be simlar to last year's event

Calendars – more yet to be sold. Selling at cost of production - $15 and highly recommended.

Port still with Bert. Sixty bottles sold.

TC for sale (clipper blue) on eBAY – asking $25k

Morris P. says the chassis of the MGSA he once owned made it from Peking to Paris.

Ron Kilcullen SA finished  said Ralph K.

John L advised that TC  wheels were for sale in the Opposite Lock magazine.

ATA has appointed Graham M. as the WA Correspondent. Graham asked for help with technical articles  for publication .

Rob G. Spoke on companies he had tried for powder coating and at this stage was able to recommend Southside Powder Coaters as doing a good job for a reasonable price

Serpentine Visit  is a definite event .  It is an Open Day Sunday 30th September.

MG's now rolling off the assemly line in China  Stretched limo version being built for wealthy Chinese
