"Last Chance for 2007 greeted us with grey skies and the odd light shower to keep the surface damp at our usual venue Wesfarmers Bassendean. The first event was a short Slalom and saw Colin  blitz the field in a TD – Do we have a convert from the TC Camp? Ron got to pick the next event a Cloverleaf. On this occasion Chris showed us he was out to have a go and left us all in his dust. With the bit between his teeth Chris again showed us a clean pair of rear tyres doing event three the Star. It was then time for a chat over lunch and into those sandwiches or a short drive to Red Rooster or other munchies nearby.

It was then time for the last event of the day the Crazy Square, chosen because the layout is very similar to the Star. The pressure was now on for the run to the winner’s podium. Mike was right on Chris’s heals trying to get the handbrake going and Peter  was also in hot pursuit and must have had that tired motor on nitrous. Noelene was driving her normal cool clean style and getting quicker to be only 0.2 secs behind Peter on the day.

Colin continued to push the TD and finally took out the final event by a very narrow margin from the rest of the field. Richo had the YT sliding about when he could get the power on after coping with full lock understeer. Ron was rock’n and roll’n in the Y and Ivan had the TF movin’ when he wasn’t having a seniors moment!

Barbara was very smooth in the YT beast but could not quite reel in Noelene for the Ladies plate. Last but not least it was good to see Glen out there in his B doing some competitive times and just pipped Richo by 0.04secs into third outright on the day.
