MG TC Owners Club Newsletter

 Meeting 1194 - 14th May, 2009

(Produced by Graham Mackie)

Meeting 1194 at the Robin & Bev’s residence was a very well attended affair, with 40 plus attendees. Parking was at a premium and the usual greeting cards of oil on the driveway were left. Sorry for that but par for the course of course. Of great interest was the BMW bike, same model, I believe as the Ewen McGregor Round the World TV show, the MGA and the matching colour TC.                                The horn blew at 9.12pm

Apologies heard by me were from the Pyles, Tony C., Gary G., Graham R., and Ted S.

Visitors. Bob Detheridge and Martin Swan were welcomed by Pres. JB and members.

Palmer UK visit to overseas member Ben Palmer. Barry preceded a later talk by passing around an Album of photos , a list of MG cars in a Brooklands 'all MG Day' and a souvenir programme from a UK Heritage Run based around Windsor Castle and supported by one time TC owner, the Duke of Edinburgh.

Minutes from meeting 1193 included the visit of ex-president Bruce Ashton, the $60pp Annual Dinner charge, the electrical fire on the Y Type Run in the Barnes TC, extinguished by members Rose and Wakeford.

Matters Arising.  Photos still required for the Club's Annual Calendar. Please forward to Graham A. Trophies are in hand and sashes by Theo underway. Col. still looking for the dinner prepayment. Pres JB advised he had arranged for an old film of early MG Car advertisements to be transferred to a 'round thing that plays pictures' ( believed to be a DVD).
